Recently B. Shipley had a post questioning the quality of Colt's current production. This got me thinking about a planned purchase next month. As a peasant residing in The Peoples Republic of California, I am about to purchase about five :) more handguns this year before the new laws take effect :( . One of these being the King Cobra. I already own five other Colts including a Python. I also have some S&Ws and a Beeman Korth. All have functioned flawlesly. Am I just being very lucky? All you King Cobra owners out there please tell me your opinions.

I'm referring to SB-15 which takes effect 1/1/01. I'm just buying now to beat the rush while the selection is good. Since Colt doesn't manufacture the King Cobra anymore its not likely that Colt will submit the required three guns to test it so dealers can continue to sell it in California past 2001.
