Colt $$$ H&K???

Some one said it was confirmed that HK sold to Colt...IS this true? They further went on to say that Colt was going to discontinue HKs handguns.

Has anyone heard anything to validate this or to disprove this?
 
I have'nt heard this as being a done deal yet. It's all been speculation for a while. In fact alot of gun dealers are using it to push and sell HK's. The prices went up ever since the rumer started.
 
I have been hearing nothing but rumors, but I hope that it will remain a rumor. I really the H&K USP pistols and the company. As far as Colt goes, I hate them like the plauge. If Colt buys H&K you will see me mad as a hornet.

That rumor started back in January. Colt signed a letter of intent, but that was nearly 3 months ago. Letters of intent don't last forever. Colt has been paying off creditors with the money they do have and in this political climate I doubt that they could generate enough investment to purchase H&K.
 
You know, Colt is so stupid because if they realy stepped up production of the AR15 line they could buy HK soon.

They make more money on AR15's than anything else.

CMOS, they have not been able to produce the Match Target because of the military M-4 contract. Now that the military is no longer taking deliveries of M-4's and M-16's they can start producing Match Target. The problem is that I do not know if they have the capital available to buy the materials to produce them.
