colt gunsmith northern illinois

Looking for a gunsmith who can do a retiming job on my Colt Python.
Paid a local fellow $65 bucks and it still spits lead. Don't want to return it to him because I doubt he knows how.

It will list every Gander Mountain location, but will also list others who
work on pistols.

Re. Gander Mountain: any regional store will send it to Kenosha, WI. I was told up there that their smiths were running quite a few months behind, due to their high work load. A novel idea- how about sending it back to Colt? Just asking.

Honestly- return it to Colt, or send it to C&S or Cunningham.
There are very few gunsmiths nowdays who can competently work on those guns.

Colt may be the quickest return, C&S and Cunningham are backed up to close on a year.

Your Python is worth doing it right, even if it's gone for a while.
