Colt grip question

Howdy! Can anyone tell me definitively if the grip frames of the Colt King Cobra and the old MK III series are the same, i.e. are the grips interchangeable?

No, they aren't. The Mark III is a square butt design. The King Cobra has a round butt under the grips.
Colt changed the shape with the Mark IV Trooper.
