I went to the range again this weekend and had problems with FTE on my Colt 380. The empty cart. would be all the way back, slide open, and the new round is trying to get onto the feed ramp. So what do you think....I need new springs of some type...or the magazine is the problem......or I'm just plain screwed. Thanks

PS..do you think one of those Wolff 5% extra power mag springs would take care of it??

Have you tried polishing the feed ramp (easily done with steel wool)?

How about a different kind of ammo?
 
Is the ejector lever up or down, I hazard a guess that during cleaning the ejector lever got nocked down and is not popping up.

This has never happened on mine, but I understand that it can occur. Look at your manual on how to reset it.

My gov's only problem is soft metal on the barrel. The upper lugs are slightly peened by the slide. Oh well, I just keep shooting it.

Great gun though, but mags are getting expensive!
