I bought a couple of the at a local gun store a couple years ago for about $450 each. Doubt prices have gone down since then. New ones are about $650.00.

With the original case and book, plus the shape it's in, I'd be looking for at least $550.

Certainly don't take less than $525. The Colt is a cut above a lot of other .380 pistols.

Unless I had another carry pistol, I would keep it and save up for the bow. You won't replace it for what you get for it.

My buddy just sold his for $450.00. It was to his brother so, he may have knocked a little off for a family discount.

I'd follow the bidding on similar models at gunbroker.
+1, but if you're new to GB, I'd like to offer an obligatory tip:

Sign up for an account, then use the "Advanced Search" feature to check completed auctions in which the item sold, and pay the most attention to auctions with high numbers of bids.

Many sellers on GB ask unrealistically high prices for used guns. These guns often languish unsold for many months. Searching completed auctions makes it easier to ignore the overpriced guns.

I thought they had gotten higher than that.
Makes me consider putting sights I can see on mine instead of cashing in on its originality.

I bought the stainless one for about $800 last year as a back up to my blued. I would expect you should get about the same.

I was not aware Colt was making the Government model anymore. They are doing the Mustang though.

I looked up my records. I paid $822.70 for mine with the original box, paper, spare grips and 7 magazines. I picked up a few mags since then so I have about a dozen now and some more spare parts.
