Colt DS work

Hello,

I have a Colt DS that I want worked on and refinished. I want a durable blue finish and hard chrome on the hammer. When I fired this gun last, the sparks hit me in the face. I want it cleaned and checked and a bright orange site added. I assume Colt will be costly to have them do it. Who else could do just as good a job? Thank you.

The Cylinder & Slide Shop has been the gold standard for many years - I would trust them to do mine in a New York Minute.

They're in Nebraska, but FYI it's perfectly legal for a non-FFL (you) to ship to & receive back their own firearm from an FFL, like them, sent for customization and/or repair.

You can get everything done at either Colt or at Cylinder & Slide.
Cylinder & Slide will probably cost more, and will take a LOT longer.

Colt's pricing is very competitive, and since their shop is much larger, turnaround is usually a lot faster.
As an added advantage, a refinish by Colt doesn't reduce the value as much as a non-factory refinish.
 
Thanks...I did notice the initial wait with C&S to be eight months or a year before they even did anything. :eek: I may stick with Colt; they're in CT and I'm in MA so the turn around will probably be faster there too. Thanks again.
