Colt Det Spl-age?

I have an unfired Colt Detective Special, blue, without ejector rod shroud, serial number A29xxx. I do know it is pre 1973. I would like to know the age, value and if anyone has a box for this gun I could buy? Thanks for your help.

A29xxx was made in 1969.
The "A" series began that year, and ran from A1000 to A43499 by the end of the year.
