Colt Delta HBAR: what's it worth?

This question is more out of curiousity than anything else. I never see Delta's on any of the auction sites so I can't gauge the price. Does anyone know the going price range for pre-ban Delta's?

Thanks.

ive seen em high..3grand...and ive seen em less IMHO..you are better off buying a preban Hbar or a carbine and avoiding the delta..i know of several people who bought them and were disapponited when they went to sell em

Thanks for the reply, HK1. I already have one that I bought slightly used in about 1993 for $800. I'd had a couple of other AR's, but I really wanted the Delta model. With the Milazzo Krieger trigger that I put on it, it's the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. (Four shots into one clean hole with the fifth shot touching, at 100 yards). I doubt I'll ever sell it. ;)

All that remains of my Delta rifle is the preban lower that is now used in a M4 type carbine. It was a BIG disappointment. My SP1 would outshoot the thing badly. The scope was a cheap Tasco and the mounting screws stripped out. I replaced the Tasco with a Zeiss. I replaced the mediocre Colt 1:7 barrel with a match quality 1:9 and put in a JP trigger. I added a really cool adjustable stock and free floated the barrel. It was now a really good looking gun. It still was outshot by my M4 tricked out gun. I probably should have kept it as a "collectors item", but the thing was overrated. You would be better served with a flattop AR15 than the "Delta". Just my opinon. Watch-Six
