Colt Defender

My Springfield V10 Compact was reliable, I carried a 165grn +P Magtech and it shot them well. I changed the recoil spring when I got it (it was used) and never shot it enough to have any malfunctions before selling it. How is your Colt working out for you?

My Defender is a older one and as reliable as day is long . I carry Corbon 185 gr +P However I have read better accuracy with a 200 gr.

I am a Defender fan. I also like my Colt Officer. But weight is its problem I can carry a LTW commander for a few oz more.

1st thing I do with a Defender is rid it of those god awful ugly grips Build a great carry pistol then hang those grips on it.

Don't believe the 3" guns are finicky and nothing but trouble My Colts haven't been

I have Officer ,Defender , Bought a New Agent when came out . Never any problem with the pistol. I just couldn't like that gutter sight so traded it .

I do see reports of the Philippine Compacts having problems Seems more recoil spring problems than any thing else . I'd just stick to Colt.

I carry my colt defender all the time.never had a problem with it I carry critical defence185 gr did shot spear gold dot 230gr but hard on the hands for a small gun. But was more accurate with the 230 gr.

I've carried a Colt Officers ACP and a Para-Ordnance Slim Hawg, which is a 3" 1911 like the Defender. Both are 100% reliable with Remington Golden Saber.

I have the lightweight officers model. Digests 200 grain LSWC Like crazy. Empties go everywhere. No problems except the white dots in the sights are long gone. I put CT Laser grips on it. 3.5" aluminum frame holds 6 + 1.

Love it!

I run 200gr lswc through my Night Defender, hasn't missed a beat yet. This pistol will chamber an empty case fer cripes sake.

i had an ejector failure within 60 rounds, since then, zero ftf, fte, jams, runs like a clock on anything I feed it
