The Colt Defender is a short barreled pistol on a compact frame. I've examined a few of them and, while they look nice, the quality of fit and finish is not nearly as good as the Kimber Compact or Ultra Compact that goes for near the same money. The only reason I can think of to buy the Colt instead is that it wont be made anymore.
