Colt DA 41 Barrel Replacement

I've got a barrel that I want to install in my Colt DA .41 (made in 1900). The barrel is blue, the Colt is nickel plated. Does anyone know who can do the job? Thanks for any info provided.

Why do you want to change the barrel? I would think your original parts best. Are you thinking of shooting this revolver? I wonder where you got a blued barrel too. I am looking for some parts for a Colt DA 38 myself.

A previous owner had the infinite intelligence to cut half the barrel off. I would like to get it back to as close to original as possible. I was fortunate to locate one on eBay that has the same markings on the barrel (caliber, Colt, patent dates) as the original.
While hunting on the web (eBay, GunBroker, AuctionArms, forums, etc.) I ran across somebody that had some Colt DA 38 parts. But I don't remember the location. All I can suggest is to . . . keep looking. Sooner or later you'll find what you need. Good Luck.

Those old 41s, 38s and New Services were often turned into snubs. I have seen many chopped off right at the ejector. I guess people wanted snubs and just made them out os surplus Colts. The barrel you have is blued from what I gathered, are you going to have it plated? Any good gunsmith can accomplish the removal and replacement of your barrel. If you want it restored, I suggest Doug Turnbull.
