Colt Custom Shop 38 Supers

Yesterday I saw two slightly different new Colt Custom Shop 38 Supers. Very nice looking guns that, apparently, Lew Horton had made. My question is this: "Does anyone have experience with these?" If so how well are they made?

Kenneth,

I bought one in highly polished stainless, and have been very pleased with it. I had Dane Burns convert it to 9x23 Win, but fired about 100 rounds through it first.

The finish is VERY nice; I could only find one tiny flaw on the back end of the frame rails.

The trigger is about what you would expect; I had Dane put a new trigger in mine. Not a bad trigger, but it could be better. It was very accurate, and is even more accurate now.

The pistol functioned perfectly, when it was still 38 super. It still functions as well now, even with my experimenting with reloads (powder, OAL, etc...).

Hope this helps.

Casey
