Just got off the Colt website, I'm interested in a stainless commander with Novak night sights but they don't seem to be available direct from Colt. Is this true?
Evidently not at this time. Colt does produce special runs of guns for distributors such as Talo so you might monitor their website: http://www.taloinc.com/.
Colt does make one with Novak sights, just not night sights - model O4012XSE. You could always replace them.
I have a colt defender it came with novack sites I just bought Novak night sites on line when I sent the gun to have repaired I let them put them on at colt
