Colt Combat Government Series 70

I have a Combat Government. I have seen discussions about this weapon, and all say the serial numbers begin with 70B, etc. My begins with FG. Can anyone tell me when this gun was made?

If it doesn't come up, call the phone number given. They will tell you the year made, but nothing more without you paying for a factory archive letter.

After a quick look thru my books, the FG prefix started in 1983 with FG01000, and in 1984 the starting serial number was FG21625. I also see referenced serial number FG44265 being of 1985 vintage, whether that is a starting number or and ending number I'm not sure.
