I shot my Colt Cobra the other day and after 50 rounds of standard pressure ammo, I noticed the cylinder hanging up a tad when I tried to open it. It felt rough and took some pressure to get it open and closed. I looked it over, but couldn't determine just what the problem was. I cleaned it up and then noticed the front sight sitting to the right. Apparently the barrel had turned to the right a sixteenth of an inch or so. I tried to turn it to straighten it up and managed to get it almost straight by hand, but just a tad still to the right. Now the cylinder opens and closes smoothly, but what the heck is up. Those 50 rounds are the most I have shot the gun since it was bought new in 1975. Probably doesn't have 100 rounds total through it. Mostly a safe queen and carry piece. What do you guys think?
