Colt Cobra/Agent Loads

I've noticed that several of us share a fondness for these little snubbies. I have a 1964 Colt Cobra and was wondering what those of you that carry this one recomend as a carry load. Right now I keep it and my brides S&W 642 loaded with the Federal Hydra-Shok 110 grain. We shoot the 38 special 125's at the range.

my current stubby load is the federal "personal defense" hydra-shok jhp (i think it's 112grs)

when i can find it, my preference is the federal nyclad "chief's special" (non +p) 125gr hp. this was specifically designed (when it was sold by smith) to give reliable expansion (.50+) out of the short j-frame.

the colt d-frame is a very strong design and should be able to handle any .38 loading. i used to shoot the 158gr swchp +p loading in mine when it served as a backup for my issue m-15.
