Colt Cobra 3" .38 Special

Hey fellows -

I've got a small heard of Colts and was looking to add a Gen 1 Cobra to round out my Cobra collection.

Have an opportunity to buy a 3" barreled Cobra in pretty decent shape. Believe it was produced in 1970.

Not really familiar with the 3" models and there doesn't seem to be much out there on the interweb.

Does any one have any information on these? Seem fairly rare from what I can tell.
 
The 3 inch "D" frame models like the Cobra and Detective Special are not common but not particularly rare.

The Cobra was offered in 2", "3" ,and 4" inch versions.
No one knows how many 3 inch models were made because Colt doesn't release information on barrels, finishes, or calibers.

A 3 inch First Issue .38 Special Cobra would have a 15% added value over a 2" or 4" version.
