I own a Colt AR Carbine (post ban) and I just recently changed the stock to a fixed telescopic style (like M4 stock) and was surprised to discover that the buffer was a solid piece of plastic! I wasn't aware that Colt had cheapened this part. At the least I was able to replace it with the old standard metal buffer. What other parts are plastic that I am not aware of? Just wondering what other Colt owners have discovered. Thanks in advance...
