Colt Agent valuation

Came across an ad for Colt Agent being sold. Seller wants $500 for the snubbie. Likely from the 1980's. Any know if this is the correct valuation or if it's too high?

Saw one in that ballpark at a gun show a couple years ago...

I'll check with my Colt guru later today, and see what he says about today's prices.

Looks like one of the last (Second Issue) Agent revolvers with the ejector shroud made (from 1973 to 1981). The one pictured appears to have the unpolished, matte black finish that came with some revolvers during the Colt strike.

In excellent condition, $500.00 is probably a fair asking price. I'd offer $450.00 and be happy if the seller agrees.

If you can make sure you do a thorough inspection of the Agent before you buy it. Some of these cosmetically challenged guns made during Colt's labor unrest years had other more serious issues in regards to their mechanical operation. If everything checks out okay I would try going in at $400 and see what they come back with.
