Colt 45 Grips What looks good?

I have a Colt 45 ACP SS. I'am thinking of dressing it up a little. What type of grips would make it realy stand out and look good.At this time I have Pachmayr on it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What may look good to one may not necessarily look good to another. Personally I hate the look and feel of Pachmayr's.
On a 1911 I think stags look good. My other option would be (imitation) ivory. But there are those that would suggest that one is narrowly approaching pimp gun status with ivories on a 1911. What ever you put on it do not use white pearls. :D

The light colored grips look great on a blue gun but I like darker ones on a stainless.

I put the black carbon fiber panels, by Carbon Creations, on my last project. I think they look great and I get lots of "let me see those" when I use the gun at matches. The photo doesn't do them justice. The fibers refract like a hologram in sunlight. Have a look...

Take a look at: http://www.eaglegrips.com http://www.ajaazgrips.com http://www.sidryan.com http://www.boonetrading.com http://www.herrett-stocks.com

WTF, ivory stocks are approaching "pimp" status on a 1911? A good pair of real ivory stocks with the "double diamond" checkering pattern are a thing of beauty. There were sure a lot of Texas Rangers that carried ivory stocked 191's and I would not have wanted to tell any of them that they had a pimp's gun. I know that that is not your opinion, Gunslinger, but to even express that view. OMG (as Sandy says. :D )

Those carbon things are neat.

But my point is, two words:

COCO BOLO (double diamond checkered)

If you have a extended slide release & safety, then alot of standard type grips will not work without a little fitting for these parts. Hogue makes some nice grips (I'm a fingergroove type of guy on a 45).

Is there a webpage for those carbon fiber grips?

I have the original red coco-bolo grips on my SA, but unfortunatly the sweat from my body has discolored the left grip panel, to a dull grey color. :( But I carry it everyday, and I sweat a lot.

Also, I've never seen one in person, but there is a stainless 1911 in the Houge Catalog, with green lamo-camo grips. In that picture they look really pretty.
