Colt 22 short derringer

Colt 22 short derringer = First made in the 1800's, copied in the 1970's

Heritage Roughrider 22 long = Inexpensive.

The Colt derringer in .22 short was a 1960s invention. It was a copy of a much older Model 3 in .41 rimfire, not .22 short.
The .22 short models were made for (not by) Colt. Their value is solely as a curio.

Because they are copies of the Third Model { except for caliber) derringer, they were cataloged as the 4Th Model Derringer, Made for Colt by Butler. As noted these are not really shooting pistols ( but some do shoot them). The only way they have any real value is New In The box, and also if they were cased in a special casing such as a Book. Non firing Model Fours were also made for decorative purposes only. The guns are made of a alloy { Zetax?), some of the early guns did not have steel barrel liners and after a few shots , no rifling. A little more information would be helpful, is it new, any thing special such as Mother of Pearl Grips ( not plastic), engraved or what ever?? They did make some special order 4Th Models. ( They made a total of 112,000 of these little suckers plus Butler made a few thousand more under their own name).

Zamak is a die casting alloy of ultrapure zinc, aluminum, magnesium, and copper. It is used for very fine detail castings. However, it is not known for strength.

I had a Butler for some reason, one time. It is like something you wish would work for just fun, but does not seem very useful or good for anything. The stupid pivot screw worked loose about every time you opened it, as I recall. Too bad they did not make them well, could have been fun just for busting beer cans.
