I have a colt 22 pistol. It’s not a woodsman. The front of the manual says.
Colt 22 pistol and target model. I put a rail on it and a scope. This little pistol is a great shooter and I know at least 10,000 rounds have gone through it. I’d like to back to original sights but all I have in the box is the rear sight. I lost the front sight somewhere,which really upsets me as I keep everything in the pistol cases. I’ve looked online and can find nothing for these pistol. Does anyone have one of these pistols? Do you like it? Any idea where I could get a set of sights? Thanks in advance.

The Colt .22 was introduced as the "Cadet" but somebody else had already copyrighted that.

Google finds people have been looking for that sight for ten years. Good luck.
 
Is the front sight dovetailed, screwed, pinned to the slide?
It was supposed to be removeable?

I had a custom front sight made to fit an oddball dovetail, and it wasn't prohibitively expensive.
