Colt 1902 model 38acp question.

I need to find an extractor for a very old Colt 1902 38acp model auto pistol. Any idea where it might start looking? thanks!

As the .38 ACP and the .38 Super are demensionally the same you might take a look at a .38 Super extractor for a 1911 or a .38 ACP extractor for a 1903 (if you can find one of those).

As the design of the three pistols was evolutionary there may be an off chance that something like the extractor stayed consistant - or close enough that the newer part could be modified.

Just a thought. Good luck.

Hi, Quiet Storm,

I checked Gun Parts catalog and they list the extractor and spring for $24.95. So that looks like the answer. They say to indicate .38 or .45, but I think the extractors on the whole .38 series were the same.

BTW, the extractor on those early guns is totally different from that on the 1911.

Jim, wow, thanks! 1 more question as I am not familiar with the Gun Parts company. Do you have contact info for them? I appreciate it. QS
