Collin County Gun Range under attack!!!!!!!!!!

I will give you a bump to the top. We have a thing here in Indiana. There is an outdoor range and the people can't shoot on sundays b/c the neighbors complain of the noise. The range has been there for almost 50 years, and the neighbors haven't. You would think that people would know about it before moving there.

Who the hell decides to build a house right next to an airport or railroad track without knowing about it first. The way the laws are going in this country, it looks like we are out to protect the dumb and stupid.

The indoor range I go to is in an industrial park where loud noise is the norm!

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

--Ayn Rand, in "The Nature of Government"

The range is in a flood plane and useless for homes or anything else. It was there for five years before the city fathers decided to annex. It is the only range which teaches hunters ed for miles and miles around as well as CHL classes. We are really in need so I am calling on the power of the NET and the pressure it can generate in this case. McKinney is in the greater Dallas-Ft Worth area and you know what that means...tourist $$$!

We have hosted classes, really expensive ones taught by big names in the shooting business and they have generated money for local businesses through hotel fees, food etc. And the city wants to limit this source of income??
