collapsible stocks on 20" AR15s??

stocks

since i started messing with AR's in the mid 70's i've switched and changed various parts uppers-lowers-barrels-stocks. I've had 20" guns with collapsible stocks. one thing about AR's is you are only limited by your imagination and the "Law". If you think it looks good and its legal "Go for it"...Dick

Provided it's a preban lower, why not? However, the collaspable stock has the disadvantage of being less steady than the fixed stock. It is also less sturdy too.

i really don't remember but since none of my AR's currently are in that configuration, something must not have been right with them. My guess would be that a standard weight 20" would probably be OK but an HBAR would definitly have some front end weight problems, but if you're wanting to overcome space problems like carrying in an automobile, the few inches off the length would probably be worth it..Dick
