......a Scottish Folk-Rock Band. Seriously. I was doing an internet search on a favorite artist, Treana and I came across this website . And I thought to myself, hhhmmmm! Well, out of curiosity I did a search on the name / band and came to find out quite a many interesting things such as the name means this .

I hope this doesn't despoil the SBG image or persona ! :D

Medic, the band was called something else until their lead singer, Coinneach, died. They changed their name to honor him.

(Odd note: One of my users is a Brit. He sez "Coinneach" in the UK is about as common as "Jim" here. Go figure.)

As for the SBNG... I resemble that remark! :D

Okay, now I want to see you singing and dancing in that cooking apron while baking cookies! Hey, the name profile (like horoscopes) can't be wrong, can it?

Hey, looky what else I finded!!!!!! :p

Coinneach - (KON-yokh or KUH-nyuhx) Fr. Old Irish Cainnech, derived fr. cain "good, beautiful." St. Cainnech founded monasteries in Ireland and Scotland in the 6th C.; city of Kilkenny (Cell Coinneach) in Ireland takes its name from him. Identical to Irish name Cainnech; anglicized as Kenneth.

Coinneach, one of my users is Irish, from Ireland and hasn't been here all that long. When I first started lurking here and saw your name, I wrote it down, asking her how to pronounce it. She said she'd never seen seen the name in all her life. Go figure  . I guess it must be limited to Scotland and England.
