I know Hogue carries them but I am not too terribly impressed with how they looked.I've tried Ajax,Eagle,Hakan, etc. and come up empty.Any ideas guys?
Thanks.

You need to talk to Hakan, from the CZ Forum. He can make you grips for your 85 from any wood available. If you search here in TFL for Hakan..you can find him. Or just check out CZForum.
Shoot well

Hogue grips

I loved mine. I had to sell them as they were a touch -too- thin for my big kahuna hands. Here's a link to a picture of them.

You don't like these?

Now, if you want something special with the grips (color, grain, etc.) talk to their floor manager about having a set custom done. It costs a couple of extra bucks, but you'll be happier with the results (more predictable results, I guess).

Cedric

BTW, they've already been sold, just haven't updated the gallery notation.

Doggone it Cedric!!!

Man,you got ESP fella? That's exactly what I'z lookin for. Those are purty.Look much different than the Hogue website shows. Thanks for the Eye Candy.:eek:Thanks for the replies about Hakan.Does he do checkering also?

Well Pinball, I had them "custom" ordered from Hogue. I specifically mentioned that I wanted a nice orangish-reddish color (deeper red the better), with some pretty straight grain. What you see is what I got. I think they cost $15 above their regular checked price to know I was getting a really sweet piece of wood. Talk with them and see what they have!

Also, it only took about 2 weeks for me to get them. Not too shabby. Best of luck.

Regards,
Cedric

Oh, and I've never seen checked grips by Hakan. He may make them, I've just never seen pictures of them.
