cocked and locked, without grip safeties

Some DA autos allow cocked and locked carry mode. However, they don't have a grip safety (Taurus, for example). Is this a reason to worry? Would you carry one fo these pistols, cocked and locked? If not, why?

Yes I would. I've never had the safety accidentally wiped off on my Kimber, USP Tactical, or USP45.

If it should ever happen keep your finger of the trigger and it doesn't go BANG.

BHP has no grip safety and if the trigger reset were not a mile long I would gladly carry one again. If my CZ75 ever gets fixed, I'll carry it C&L too.

The only real safety is the one between your ears.

Seems to have worked for the BHP for bout 67 years.

Like most guns, iffen ya dont pulls on the trigger it dont go bang.

John Browning considered the grip safety redundant.

The U.S. Gov`t insisted on it so it was incorporated into the 1911. When he designed the BHP, it was left off.

AndABeer, see if you can find someone who has the mag safety on the BHP removed. You may be pleasantly surprised. The CZ is a good choice though.

My Star Firestar .45 has no grip safety either.
