Im looking for a new shotgun to add to my collection, and also maybe use as a HD shotgun, the HD part is not its main function seeing how I have 4 other shotguns and 2 pistols to fit the bill for that. I was thinking about getting a coach gun for my next shotgun and was wondering if you all suggest a certain make or model. just wanted to get some feed back from you guys. thx

ya I just requested a catalog from them, really like their guns, Good lord I bet that 10 guage with those slugs gives a nice kick, makes my shoulder ache thinking about it.

While I don't own one, I like the Stoegers because they don't have external hammers. Seems better for home defense. They are also, IMHO, really beautiful guns.

Thats one of the things drawing me to the Stoegers, they just look amazing, would like to add one to my collection, just have to see if the funds are there, ahh the joys of being young and getting married.

I Say Go With the Stoeger

I've had three of their Coach Guns (I keep selling them off, but I won't do that with the one I have now) and loved them every one.

Easy to operate, good-looking, reasonably priced, and a hoot to shoot.

I haven't had other doubles, though, so my two cents worth may be worth less than two cents.

I've had a Rossi "Overland" 12-gauge with external hammers almost forever. They haven't been imported since the late '80s, but used ones are still around. The cowboy action gang swears by 'em as far as function and reliability go. Leave it loaded with the hammers down and it will be happy as a clam for a long time.
