B bwdilli New member May 7, 2009 #2 I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say no it wasn't made in 1887. A little googling tells me its a repro built by Norinco and imported into The States by IAC.

R rem870hunter New member May 8, 2009 #3 it was possibly styled after the looks of an 1887. but if it has 'made in china' on it. it was not made in 1887,making it over 100 years old.
