"He's a very dangerous career criminal," said Lauricella. That means we hit you with a LONGER parole buddy! Tell me again why guns are the crime problem.

August 26, 2000 - A Denver man who was once sentenced to prison for 20 years on burglary and rape charges was charged Friday with attacking a woman and her boyfriend.
Terry Lee Walker, 43, was charged with burglary, attempted sexual assault, menacing and two counts of second-degree assault.
He's accused of breaking into a home in the 2100 block of Olive Street shortly before midnight Sunday, confronting a woman in her bedroom, putting a knife to her throat and threatening that her child would be killed if she screamed.
During the ensuing struggle, she was cut on the face and her boyfriend, who heard the commotion and ran upstairs to her aid, was cut on the arm. The intruder fled after he was stabbed in the back with his own knife, police said.
Officers arrested Walker nearby.
He was treated at Denver Health Medical Center and jailed. The victims were treated at the scene and released.
Walker, who was being held Friday under a $750,000 bond, is suspected in at least two similar attacks on women, which occurred recently in the same area, said Lt. Gary Lauricella.
"He's a very dangerous career criminal," said Lauricella.
Walker's police record dates back to 1976 when he was arrested for burglary. Since then, he's been in and out of prison - a pattern that Lauricella described as "crime, conviction, parole, crime, conviction, parole."
He was on parole in 1984 when he was arrested as a suspect in a series of burglary-rapes in the same area as Sunday's attack.
In 1985 he was sentenced to prison for 20 years in connection with those crimes. He eventually was paroled but was soon back in prison on new charges.
He has been listed in Denver police records as a career criminal since 1994.
