Corrosion, dents, anything that looks different from one round to the next. If they are in 8 Round en-block Garand clips, you may want to take them out and wipe any dust or grit that is on them off. Also check the dates on the head stamp, if they are 1955 or before the ammo may well be corrisive primed and clean your rifle accordingly.
