Closest to correct caliber brush?

Because most employees don't know can anyone tell me which caliber brass brush is closest to the mentioned calibers below?

7.62 x 54r
8 x 56r

While that's probably as close a bore brush as you'll find, the 8x56R does not use standard .323" bullet like most other 8mm cartriges such as 8x57 Mauser. Instead, it uses a .329" bullet.

I use a 338 brush for my 8x56R (which has nothing to do with mauser, btw)

I'm sure, but his recommendation is based on a misreading of your post. He was recommending a brush for 8x57, not 8x56R

I would think any .30 cal brush would work for the 7.62x54R and any 8mm for the 8x56. It's not like a perfect fit is required.

I would go larger rather than smaller or barely big enough.
A .338 in the oversize 8mms sounds about right.

A GOOD .30 will be ok in the 7.62.

woopsie daisy! for some reason i read 8X57 on that one... but yeah a 8mm brush or a .338 brush are your two closest bets
