Clips or Straps?

I really hope I'm making the right decision for my first holster...I have no experience when it comes to buying holsters. In a earlier post I asked for recommendations and boy did I get it. First on the line I choose to fork out 170 big ones for the High Noon Down Under which can be seen here...

One question I forgot to ask is...which is better, clips or straps? Because it's offered in both.

When your inexperienced in buying holsters it's a real shot in the dark, but don't you worry. I've got my bag or drawer ready. I'll be buying another IWB holster from another company (holster not yet determined) after a month with this one. There are some others I'd like to try and I've come to the realization that it's just trail and error. If you don't like that holster, don't get it from the co. again...

I originally wanted to get the Milt Sparks Summer Special 2, though I currently don't have a IWB holster, so waiting 20+ weeks is not an option at the moment. This holster is for my Glock 26.

Thanks for your feedback, Gulley

BarryLee, you are the man! Though I was stuck between these two holsters and choose the High Noon because of the long wait of Milt Sparks. So now I'm stuck back in a hard decision. Any help here?

And this is a legit Milt Sparks Summer Special 2?

How does this place have them in stock and for cheaper?

I have a Milt Sparks VM II IWB holster for my SIG P220, so I can’t really comment on the Summer Special although I have considered one for another gun of mine. I can attest to the craftsmanship of the holster and think you will be happy with the quality.

Brownells is a reputable supplier, so as for the authenticity I would be pretty confident. As for the price you will find many items are actually cheaper through distributors than they are from the manufacturer.

Also, the VM II is sometimes available from Top Gun supply if you’re interested. Looks like they are out right now, but you might call and check availability.

I was recommended the WM2 as well. I wanted my first holster to be a easy on and off holster for short term carry. For ex. to the store and back. My next holster will be for more long term carry. For the short term carry I really wanted one with a metal clip for quick on and off, though I didn't like any of the holsters I was recommended besides the High Noon Down Under. Decisions decisions...

The High Noon has a cant. Not sure if that will be better for me or not. The Milt Sparks is cheaper...I think I can't go wrong with either.

Clips are more popular but straps are more customizable

Clip or Strap questions here.

As for cant or no cant, that depends where you want to wear the holster. No cant works good 12 to 2----------------- Canted works good 3:30 to 5

Some like the 3 position We HATE it. The gun always prints, your body starts to curve at that point but your gun does not. But works for some body types, larger, wider folks.
