Clinton's Gun Deals

Colt caves and gets a gov't contract. S&W gives up and HUD makes nice. Now I hear Baretta is negotiating with the terrorist-lawyers. Note Baretta is the manufacturer of the US military's side arm.

If the gun manufacturing business is so exposed from a liability standpoint, how come it is the only companies to roll over are the ones which have some kind of business relationship with government.

I can only come to the conclusion the gun confiscators have a weak position and must be happy with what they can get.

I don't know what your experience is but every time a "deal" is announced, gun stores fill up.

NO!!!!! Not Beretta!!! I thought for sure that they would hold out!

I'm crushed!

Aren't contracts signed under duress null and void? Can the gun manufacturers use this argument in court. Can they even afford to take this matter to court?

Folks, has anyone seen anything official from Beretta or Taurus (as noted in another thread)?

Given Beretta's shove-yer-gun-control-up-yer-arse position in the past, I'd be very surprised to see them cave now.

I don't know about Beretta, but a story in today's Wall Street Journal reported that Glock and Taurus are about to go over to the Dark Side of the Force.
