The loss of fishing tonnage endangering Alaska's economy,
The loss of territory greater than the size of Delaware and Rhode Island combined,
The loss of submarine warfare exercise area,
The loss of distance between the USA and recent enemies,

All this is okay. It must have been the right thing to do because it was done (in secret) by Congress and a Republican President.
