Clint Smith Videos Online

Well, I've been hosting TV shows about shooting for 20 years, so I decided to create a place where people can go to learn to shoot, just about anything.

Working with Clint Smith, we have some videos available for self-defense training. There's also a selection about skeet, trap, wingshooting, basics of guns, etc. We have dozens of categories planned, and we're shooting video as fast as possible.

www.guntalktv.com

We launched with 100 videos last week. Aiming for 500 original videos up within a year, and twice that in two years.

Who and what would you like to see in instructional videos? I'm building this as I go. Thanks.

Nice idea, but free instruction is usually worth exactly what you pay for it.

6 bucks a month ain't bad for this kinda stuff.

That depends on the instructor. And the videos are probably the same videos that they show on that self-defense show which i've probably seen already so I rather use the $6 for ammo or reloading components. ;)

Actually, Gun Talk TV is not connected to Personal Defense TV. As much as I enjoy doing television, it's often frustrating because of the time limitations. You just can't spend much time showing or explaining anything.

After we shot the first batch of these, Clint commented on how much he enjoyed having the extra time to really cover the subjects.

And, of course, there are videos on trap, skeet, wingshooting, gun fit, transporting guns, and more than a dozen gun safety videos. I just finished shooting video with Jerry Miculek, and we have three more national and world champion handgun and three-gun shooters lined up for video sessions. We are working on adding sections on sporting clays, bullseye pistol, highpower rifle, small bore rifle, international trap and skeet, lots of gunsmithing videos, gun disassembly, etc., etc., etc.

I think this is a fabulous idea, and the videos I've seen so far are first-rate. The price seems more than fair -- $6/mo is just not a lot of money, and the guys doing this do have to pay for the bandwidth somehow. :)

Good Deal, Tom.

As for the fee, I'm sure that advice from Clint Smith and anyone else that is being trusted as part of the project is worth $6/month!

Decaf for Clint?! Now THAT'S funny!!!

I just shot a bunch of videos with Jerry Miculek. Talks slow. Shoots fast.

And you ought to see him with an AR-15. Holy Cow.

Excellent site for a newbie like myself and I would imagine for more experienced shooters as well. :) I just signed up. Thanks.

By the way . . . I have people ask me all the time where they can get the DVDs of Personal Defense TV.

Rob Pincus (who posts here) carries them at his store.

http://www.valhallatrainingstore.com/books.html

You can see Rob on those DVDs, and you can get a copy of his new book. Don't overlook the new novel by Brad Thor which is offered on that site. It's a good Christmas gift for yourself. I had Brad on my radio show. Interesting guy. This is a novel that any gun guy or gal would love. Very much in the same vein as Stephen Hunter novels.

And . . . at least two people I know (including Rob) are "in" the book. Doesn't take a lot to figure out who they are. <grin> It's a good read.

Larry: I just got word that the servers were dow for a few hours last night. It was back up this morning, and it looks like it's running fine now.

I missed it, 'cause I was in the Texas Hill Country, shooting a Sharps, a Colt SAA, and the S&W M&P in 9mm. Strange collection, but it sure was fun!
