Clear Ballistics Gel Testing Old West Cartridges

Howdy folks!

Savvy Jack here from Hahira, Ga. Been shooting old west cartridges for many years now and thought I would plunge into some ballistics testing with them. I started out with the 44-40 as a defense cartridge, then as originally loaded in 1873 as far as velocity and alloys used. I am no video maker/actor etc. I just want to get out accurate information on the ballistics. I have tried a few formats so I hope you choose to watch, enjoy and leave some feedback.
Thanks

"then as originally loaded in 1873 as far as velocity and alloys used."

Alloys in 1873 would have been what, either straight lead, or lead with a very small amount of tin added.

I don't think antimony started entering the bullet equation until smokeless powders showed up.

you are correct....if I recall correctly w44wfc told me about 1905. Eventually I will get it right....bit off too much too soon.
