cleaning surplus rifles

I just purchased a Czech Vz 52 today. However, it is covered in some type of odd paint job, black with a pebble feel to it. I can see the wood underneath and would like to clean it up, restore it to the original color. Any suggestions? I also need to locate 7.62x45, the caliber it is in. This rifle is the Czech equivilent to the SKS, if memory serves me correctly. The price was not bad either.
Anyone have a quote on prices for these?
Also in the deal was a No. 4 Mk I Enfield. It is in good shape, needs a good cleaning, though. I need a manual or directions on breaking it down, and also instructions for checking the headspace.
Both rifles were owned by the same person until he passed away, and apparently were not shot much.
I paid $75 for both guns.
Anyone have hints for doing a thorough PM on the guns? The Vz 52 I am assuming is more difficult as I have not seen too many of these on the market, or manuals for that matter.
