B Bill DeShivs New member Feb 18, 2012 #3 Other than using powder solvent, don't clean it. Make sure lead and excess powder residue is removed and leave it alone. Using abrasives like Mothers, Flitz, and Simichrome will remove the nickel plating in very short order.
