Cleaning Gun Barrel - copper etc.

Hello,

After cleaning my gun after shooting yesterday, i could still see copper "streak marks" that follow the twist of the rifling. I assume that these are caused by the FMJ bullets i was shooting.

I currently use MP-7 to clean my gun. But it still didn't remove this. Should this be a concern? should you be able to clean a gun barrel till it's chome shiny?

What do you guys used to clean it and the procedure? thanks!

Since I shoot both lead and jacketed bullets in equal amounts, I use the same procedure.
A patch of Hoppes #9 followed by a brush and dry patches, repeat, then two or three patches of Kleen Bore lead wipes, followed by another patch with Hoppes and then a couple dry ones. Takes just a few minutes, and all the powder, lead and copper is gone.

If you don't like brushes or Kleen Bore lead wipes, Sweets will get rid of the copper, but it takes more time.
