Clean Shot For 45ACP

OverPressure

New member
I purchased a pound of Clean Shot a while back. I am shooting
S&S 200 Gr SWC. All the load data i have is for 230 gr FMJ or
225 gr lead. The container has one load written on the label
for 45 ACP 230 gr FMJ 5.3 gr. powder at 900 fps, 19,900 psi.

When i bought the powder i wrote down a link and downloaded
a pdf . Now months later i am looking at the pdf , there are quite
a few designations below the bullet weight. I am assuming they
are powder designations . D013, S015, S011, D032, S020.

Looking at the container i have in front of me it just has the
Clean Shot Logo with one load for 45acp, 9mm, 40 S&W and
38 special.

Any of you guys shooting 200 gr. lead or 200 gr SWC that are
familiar with this power? I did write 3.5 gr on the container when
i purchased it.
I would like to be about 800 to 825 fps.

I have resigned myself to a slow incremental move upward
until i get to 800 to 825fps. Starting at 3.5 gr.

There are quite a few people familiar with this powder but i
haven't found anybody that has actually tested it.

Of course my lees classic loader auto disk has no data, so it will
be weighing the powder charges until i get to my desired velocities
and hopefully the spreads will be 20 to 30 fps.

Once i get the powder, primer right, i will buy a lees microcharger and solve
the automation problem associated with almost no data!!!

This pound of powder is more than likely going to cost me $100

Clean Shot is slipping in the priority department as you all seem to
be in about the same place as i am finding myself !!!

Cleanshot is Lovex D032-03. You should be able to look up the Lovex load data pdf online. Very similar burn rate to AA #2. In fact, it looks and meters like #2. I just started testing it for 9mm, haven't gotten around to 45 ACP yet.

Oops. Sorry, just noticed it does not have any load data for 200 gr SWC. I load 230 gr lead RN so never bothered to check for other.
