Classic Snub Holsters

When revolvers were the primary police sidearm, what were the most common Snub/J-Frame holsters you saw used by undercover officers and detectives for Pocket/OWB/Shoulder/other?

Were there any 'best' makes and what made them the 'best'?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and memories!

I have a Kramer Horse Hide Belt Scabbard that I like. It is very stiff and holds my 340PD high and close. It is a well built holster.

Had to re-read your post. I think its a best in class holster now.

Back in the day. Most officers carried their off duty snub in a simple suede clip on, inside the waistband holster.

The spring close cross draw were popular too. Bianchi. Buchheimer.

As were the upside down shoulder holsters. Bianchi. Safariland.

I have fancier holsters (i.e., drawer-full haha), but the one I use the most is a simple rough out Bell Charter Oak with a slight reverse cant for appendix carry.
