Classic 870

does remington still make the 870 riot gun (of any type)? I don't see riot gun of any kind on their website. The closes is the Marine Magnum

I bought a similar 1956 Wingmaster with rifle sights and an extended mag for $285. The older 870s usually have actions that are slicker than deer snot. I think the newer ones feel much cheaper.

Doug check www.remingtonle.com. Its the law enforcment side and they have many different models. But they also make an Express HD that doesn't have the extended mag.

Thaaatzzzz whatamtalkin 'bout Does this remingtonle.com mean it's only available for Law Enforcement? (if so, then why are so many used ones on the market for civilians)

About six months ago I bought a nice (although not quite that nice-almost) used 870 RS, 20" IC w/sights for $175. It's a shootin' machine, and will keep three Federal full-snort (1600+ fps) slugs on the palm of your hand at 75 yards.

I gave it to my daughter for her birthday; she just got TDY to Alaska with USAF, and I wanted her to have a suitable 'picnic gun'. She can shoot it well with slugs, too.

Slick as it is, that shotgun is too high Doug.

oh it is indeed too high. Like someone else said, Collectors Firearms is notoriously high around the Harris County area. But it's still nice to look at. Find a cheaper one at a gunshow. Such agun for under $200 (maybe as low as 100 would be nice)
