I came across a 45 auto that had been worked over by Clark, comp.,Bomar sights, flared mag well, fantastic trigger job, ambi safty, etc. Outside was only about 85% condition. Price was $600.00. Does this sound right???

That sounds like a low price for a Clark Custom gun, although the finish may have a lot to do with that. The market doesn;t support "ugly" guns very well.

I have two guns that have been worked on by Clark, one they built from scratch. The Excellent Trigger is to be expected.

Find out if they built the gun, or just installed some aftermarket parts adn worked the trigger.

Chances are that this was a store bought gun, theat someone sent to Clark to "tweak".

Also, what kind of frame/slide is it? If the gun is a Norinco, he might even be asking too much, but if it is a Caspian Damascus it might be stolen! Consider the original price of the bare-bones components.

The gun started out a Springfield,so I'm assuming a "tweak" job,the finish doesn't bother me tooooo much, but a good "bargaining" point maybe...

I am interested in the pistol. If you don't buy it please e-mail me with details so I can pick it up. Thanks.

Heck, buy the gun. If you decide to resell it you can have the slide refinished -- or you can 'Black T' the whole gun and sell it for a profit after you've enjoyed it for a while.
