Ckoke tube questions

Thanks for the reponse. I have no experience with choke tubes. When we go to the range I going to pattern some OO buckshot also. At 40 & 50 yards, i'll probably use the mod tube for that.

Thanks again.

Definitely IC if you use rifled slugs, but if you're using Sabot slugs then get a rifled choke. And if you do, try the Hastings Laser Accurate - I shot them yesterday and holy cow were they ever accurate - really tight groups (for slugs) at 50 yards,a nd not too expensive, either...

Thanks for the information. Where we hunt it's very thick and a fifty yard shot would be the max. I going to pattern buckshot with the full choke and then shoot a few slugs with the IC.
I used Brenneke rifed slugs in a 870 with 30" full choke. At about 35 yards I could keep them in a six inch circle. They are very hard on the shoulder, the new 11-87 should ease that.

Yeah, the 11-87 really takes the recoil out of slugs and magnum shells. I've shot Federal 3 in. magnums and well, you still feel it but not nearly as much as an 870.
