Well im watching Hannity And Colmes. Im getting quite concerned because the New Black Panther screwballs are starting a whole new chapter on Katrina. Stating that we blew up the levy etc.... The more and more I think about it the closer I see us coming close to a racial civil war. The Islam Panther screwballs do have a decent size of manpower behind them. Seeing as how the economy latlely has improved I see them taking the oppurtunity to screw with us.

Does anyone else voice this concern? It seems that all the work Martin Luther King has done is going down the drain. Seeing how islam is also behind this my conerns heighten further.

Its sad to see it sink to this level. If black people attempted to take the same oppurtunitys and become educated we would all be living and a level playing field. :(

Racist? I don't think so. I believe in equal rights. There are a lot decent black people. But why blame the white people for somethign they have done to themselves? Slavery has been gone long enough to give them the oppurtunity to get educated.

Telling someone to get educated isn't being racist. Its far from it. On another note I grew up with black friends. My sister is half black. Ive seen both sides of the story in person.

So before you go labeling people as racist please take some insight to actually think of what the post is about. MLK would be ashamed to see whats happening now a days.

Im not fearful to talk about issues that NEED to be talked about. EVERYONE is afraid to talk about this issue and it needs to be taken care of.

People of all races should be treated the same.
 
How is his comments racist? They are the honest truth. I have several black friends who will say exactly what Andrew said here in this thread and back him 100% when it comes to not taking advantage of opportunities given and not taking them. Like Bill Cosby said, Black youth in this country are going to get nowhere when they only want to be basketball and football players with roll models like P-Diddy, Ice-T, etc. (not his exact words.... but same concept).
 
Racist? Maybe it's the suggestion to worry that angry black men will start a race war. Of course, it's not just that some black men are angry, but that they are also Muslims, which pretty well assures that they are xenophobic, genocidal maniacs.

Then there is the obligatory disclaimer that "I'm not racist because I have black friends" - and in this case, a black family member. [I am curious about AndrewTB's half-black sister. Does that mean that AndrewTB is half black like his sister (two common biological parents) or that he has a half-black half-sister (one common biological parent) or step-sister (no common biological parents)?]
 
Gun Control

Having grown up in the south I was born with the same inherant fears you stated...

It wasn't until recent times that I realized that this is what a lot of gun control laws were based on. Keeping guns out of the black folks hands. If a people.... any race or religion, are given the same oportunities as all the people then we have no reason to fear 'them'.
 
The Islamic Black Panthers are part of the 3% that are going to cause trouble no matter what you do to satisfy them.

As far as blacks taking advantage of educational opportunities.... The unit I work with is 50% black and 50% white and hispanic. for every one to two white members I counsel and assist with educational opportunities there are 3 black members who I assist too. So they are seeking.

I would submit that not every educational facility is equal in this country.

There is a lot of money to be made on acne in this country.
There is a lot of money to be made on weight control in this country.
There is a lot of money to be made on snake oil in this country.

You will see shysters and charlatans plying all these areas thoroughout the media, just like the snake oil hucksters 100 years ago. There will always be suckers who will buy into it, and there will always be a salesman to profit from it.
If race was not a credible reason to the suckers, then it would be the alien offspring of Elvis eating away at the levees like termites. :rolleyes:
 
I caught a little bit of the interview to which you're referring. My short answer to your question is: no, there's not going to be a race war/civil war here any time soon (unless it's Blue State ninnies v/s well armed Red States, but that's for another thread!)

Just remember the Panthers don't speak for the majority of black people any more than the KKK speaks for the majority of white people. They make lots of noise, but that's about it. It's just another example of the "news" playing the well-worn race-card so you'll keep watching. Don't buy into it.

It was a constant theme in the 'what gun should I use for looters' posts immediately after NOLA. Rather than concentrating on helping the majority of poor folk, we would rather concentrate on shooting at the bad apples among them.

It has as much utility as a thread about 'what gun should I have if the Germans go Nazi again?'

It would be better to give folk better social circumstances and that might lessen violence. Bah.

But, more to the point, this has nothing to do with firearms or civil liberties.
