I am trying to replace the damaged wooden grips on the Colt and if anyone knows a good decent/company who sells authentic grips for Colt. Thanks.

There is no damage visible to the grips under the attachable buttstock.
If the gun is a real period piece, it is worth a lot more with a busted original grip than any replacement.

On the grip where the stock holds onto the grip is some slight wear. The Colt is authentic, all numbers match up and there are markings from the Colt factory, this Colt was made is 1863. I was thinking of getting a replace grip but understand the historical value by leaving it alone. Thanks.

If your 1860 and stock is a first generation Colt don't touch it in fact don't shoot it! If it was me i would buy two modern copies one to keep on display with the origanal and the other to shoot. A frist generation Colt and stock are worth a lot of money. Check around you will be surprised how much it is worth.
