Civil disobedience strategies?...

It is getting near the time for Civil Rights-style actions a la the 1960's. What are some of the things we can do? I see that liberals are willing to get arrested for their beliefs, eg Jesse Jackson, Martin Sheen, etc. How about a petition signed by thousand of us not to comply with any and all registration laws? What about a petitionn to resist with force of arms any illegal and unconstitutional confiscation orders? What about having a member of Congress introduce legislation requiring the Secret Service to follow the gun laws of Washington, D.C.? What about sending funerary bouqetts to the White House for all the helpless disarmed crime victims? Canadians have a plan to overwhelm police stations with honest, non-complying citizens as soon as the first arrest is made under their new Nazi-esque law. Any other ideas?

If we're arrested, we probably lose the firearms we are trying to protect.

As far as overloading the courts, the buggers would open up football stadiums and sentence us all at once. American law is no longer a justice system. (Waco, Ruby Ridge, ATF/DEA/IRS raids, etc.)

We'll have to restore our Constitution at the polls or with metal and wood.

Yes, frankly I *am* scared, because we have neither the resolve nor the unity to do it *either* place.

getting arrested for protesting or marching, picketing, is not a crime that is punishable by taking away our guns at least not in my state if Pa. ;)

"what gives a government that arms the whole world the right to disarm it's own citizens?"

Remember an earlier post by Mr. Volk. If the govt. really HAS gone real bad, and you're demonized enough (as he recalled from the Soviet days) the govt. can make plenty of room in prisons.

(My apologies if I misquoted the message, Oleg, that's how I read it.)

Battler.

Unfortunately, there are too many gun owners who are too moderate and too compromising when it comes to their firearms. Many more are simply inactive having the "it won't happen to me" attitude. People I know have laughed at me for writing my reps concerning these matters and they claim to believe in firearms rights. "Out of my cold dead hands" is a wonderful motto and many inactive gunowners will use it. But if they don't do something now, that is exactly what will happen. Better have more than a couple of boxes of ammo if that is all you are willing to do (which incidently, is the case with many of the inactive gunowners I know). Have at least the a supply of ammo equal to the value of the firearm. It doesn't go bad if properly stored, and it will only become more valuble. You will shoot it eventually anyway.
